As a guide, generally your country of permanent residence is the country you would want to be repatriated to in the event of a medical emergency, and where you are entitled to long term health care if required.
You are eligible for cover under our United Kingdom travel insurance product if you normally live in the the United Kingdom (which we define as England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland only) and you:
will be 64 years old or younger at the time you buy or extend your policy; and
are a citizen or legal resident of the United Kingdom with unrestricted right of entry into the United Kingdom; and
have access to long-term medical care in the United Kingdom; and
have your principal, permanent residential address in the United Kingdom where you have lived during the 24 months prior to policy purchase.
We’re here to help if you have a question about travel insurance.
